Maple Creek Middle & Secondary School Addition & Renovation

In 2009, the Chinook School Division began a $9.4 million addition & renovation to the existing Maple Creek Middle & Secondary School located in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. That same year, IKONA was awarded the Shop Detailing portion of the project.

The renovations included adding new administration offices, a new music/band room, a theatrical stage addition to the gymnasium, a new shop and rear vestibule, a new elevator providing wheelchair accessibility to the different levels, and a new front entrance with an added steel overhead canopy as an architectural feature. As well, new steel stair structures were retrofitted to replace the aging mill-work stair structures.
