Position Requirements;

• Minimum 4 years experience as a steel detailer.
• Experience in the drafting field is an asset.
• Knowledge in basic drafting standards and principles.
• The ability to apply basic math skills including trigonometry.
• Must have a good understanding of both 2D and 3D CAD.
• The ability to pay close attention to detail, precision and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal, communication skills and a clear understanding of the English language in both Oral and Written form.
• Able to safely perform duties with a minimum amount of supervision.
• Formal Technical Institute and/or University training is an asset but not a requirement.

Responsibilities of the Intermediate Steel Detailer;

• 2-D Drawing editing. (Editing and cleaning 2-D Drawings in Cad and Tekla)
• Project modeling.
• Assisting in the creation of RFI’s and Project related materials.
• Light drawing checking.
• Perform CAD Drawings in a manner which adheres to accepted engineering practices and standards as well as company values.
• Execute CAD Drafting tasks in a timely and professional manner in line with assigned due dates, while ensuring the highest quality of work with minimal errors and rework required.
• Apply 2D and 3D CAD skills in the creation, conveying or extraction of information related to the project work.
• Maintain project files.
• Assist with detailing operations.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the owner.
